We Specialize in Evidence-Based Treatment

Sounds fancy, but what is evidence-based treatment? It is treatment based on research and scientific studies that have shown to be effective for the specific difficulty that you are seeking help for. That means that you do not receive the same counseling for trauma as you do for depression, anxiety, or an eating disorder. It also means that we treat you to get better, not to simply discuss the problem or vent. Evidence-based treatment is the only type of treatment that Sillon Wellness Services offers.

Determining if you are a good candidate for therapy can feel overwhelming. If you are not feeling like your best self and or have symptoms of depression, anxiety, have experienced trauma, relationship challenges or another unique situation, you are a candidate for therapy and we can help match you with an licensed therapist. We offer in-person and online therapy sessions so making an appointment is easy.

Types Of Therapists

What is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW?) A LCSW is a therapist with a Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) who is licensed to diagnose and treat mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders. Through psychotherapy and counseling, LCSWs utilize a holistic, strengths-based approach that considers a client's social environment, family, and community resources. They often specialize in modalities such as CBT, DBT, or trauma-focused therapy to address a wide range of issues, including addiction and anxiety.

What is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)? A LMFT is a mental health professional specializing in systemic therapy. They treat individuals, couples, and families by focusing on relationship dynamics and patterns. LMFTs are qualified to diagnose and treat mental health disorders-including depression, anxiety, and addiction-within the context of family systems. By utilizing various techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), they help clients navigate complex emotional and relational challenges.

What is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)? A LPC is a state-licensed mental health professional who provides psychotherapy and counseling for individuals, couples, and groups. LPCs hold a master's degree and have completed extensive supervised clinical experience. They assist clients with various emotional, behavioral, and mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, substance abuse, and relationship challenges using evidence-based techniques like talk therapy, cognitive restructuring, and mindfulness.

What is a Clinical Psychologist? A Psychologist is a therapist with an advanced doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) who specializes in diagnosing and treating mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders. Using evidence-based psychotherapy, psychological assessments, and comprehensive treatment planning, they often address more severe conditions than other therapists.
